Learning is fun at Tan y Fron

Art, exercise and quiz-time fun were all part of a week-long festival of learning at the Tan y Fron Extra Care housing scheme in Llandudno last week.

Tenants at the scheme, which is managed by Clwyd Alyn Housing Association in partnership with Conwy County Borough Council, were able to take part in Tai Chi, an Alzheimer’s Awareness event and other activities, thanks to a full programme funded by a £500 Festival of Learning Grant.

“The whole ethos of our extra care schemes is to support tenants living independently in their own self-contained apartments within the scheme where individual privacy is always respected and the Festival of Learning was a great way for tenants to get together and explore new activities,” said Extra Care Manager Carol Thomas.

Louise Blackwell, Community Development Officer for Clwyd Alyn added; “We’d like to thank our funders for their support and also say a big Thank You to Carol for promoting the festival and to all of the tenants at Tan y Fron for embracing the event.”
