Tan y Fron tenant, Mrs Sarah Roach was delighted to discover some artificial plants for her balcony, thanks to the online search tips she gained at the Digital Eagles session with Rhys Scarll from Barclays.
Tenants at the Tan y Fron extra care housing scheme in Llandudno were able to pick up some tips on using the latest digital technology thanks to a visit from the Barclays Bank Digital Eagles Team recently.
Rhys Scarll, mentor with the Barclays Digital Eagles service, provided one-to one support for tenants covering areas such as on-line security and how to access further free e-learning.
“The session went really well and we’ve had some great feedback from the tenants who came along,” said Louise Blackwell, Community Development Officer for Clwyd Alyn Housing Association who manage the scheme.
“It was very informal and provided a really friendly ‘tea and teach’ environment,” added Louise.
Eileen Stevens, a Tan y Fron resident and Clwyd Alyn Board Member, who attended the session said: “It was very informative and I learned a great deal about using my iPad and smart 'phone safely and securely.
“We talked about telephone 'scams' and importance of not giving our security details to callers. I was also shown how to access and use the diary system on my 'phone which will be very useful.”
